Agenda Item #1
Weekday Tournaments

Camden is sponsoring a 10 tournament series culminating on Tuesday, March 23rd with the drawing for a 42" flat screen television. The tournaments are held every other Tuesday with a 6:30 signup & 7:00 start beginning November 17th at the Tilted Kilt . All tournaments are luck of the draw unless otherwise noted. A player receives one entry for the drawing for each tournament played. Any player that plays all ten tournaments will receive ten additional entries for the drawing. Look for the tournament dates and locations on the website soon!

Agenda Item #2
Upcoming Leagues

New leagues will begin after the State Tournament. A Monday '01 league will be offered beginning February 1st and will run for eight weeks plus a position round. Signup for that league will be taken through Monday, January 25th. A Saturday Combo league will be offered beginning February 6th and will run for eight weeks plus a position round. Signup for that league will be taken through Saturday, January 30th.

Agenda Item #3
State Tournament

Signup for the State Tournament is due, with payment, by December 1st. Signups can either be given to me or taken to the shop. All checks should be made payable to Camden Amusements.

Agenda Item #4
Subs

It is decided that we will no longer limit the number of subs per team. We do however strongly suggest having your subs on your roster to avoid any confusion later in the season. Please notify me at least two days prior to league if you plan on having your sub play to ensure the correct average is loaded for that player. After week number 2 of any league, players that have yet to shoot will have a 0.00 average and be required to shoot with the highest average of that particular game unless I am notified in advance.

Also, having a player shoot under someone elses name will result in that team forfeting all games for that evening. You have the ability to add players to your team right at the board so please take advantage of that and please be as specific about the player's name as possible. If you accidentally start league without adding a sub please contact the on-call tech by leaving a message at 365-1558 and they will come and reset the board for you.

Agenda Item #5
Abuse

Abuse of the dart boards and establishments by dart players will not be tolerated. Due to recent happenings there are some changes regarding abuse.
  • Any physical abuse of a dart board that results is disruption of a game (blown circuit, light bulb, reboot) will result in a 30 day suspension for Camden leagues and tournaments
  • Any disruption caused during a league match in which further games cannot be played without the assistance of a tech results in the offender's team forfeiting the remaining games.
  • Any reports of damage to establishments that host leagues and tournaments will be addressed and dealt with accordingly.

The next board meeting will be held Friday, December 18th at 6:00 at Camden. As always, if you're interested in becoming a board member please notify me via email.

3/27 Board Meeting

It was nice to see the entire board present. In attendance:

Larry Elbert
Scott Pechota
Mike Cornwell
Steve Batcheller
Chris Sankot
Deb Clark
Bob Harvey
Mike Scott
Scott Klees
Jamie Pechota
Charlie Brown

The only two agenda items were to schedule upcoming leagues and get some rules in writing. The upcoming leagues are posted on the site and on the forum.

The following are some rules that were discussed.

Subs:
  • A league team cannot add a sub to their team once we reach the half-way point of the league. If there are extenuating circumstances then it will go before the Board.
  • Four person leagues will allow for two subs maximum
  • Two person leagues will allow for one sub maximum

It is highly suggested that you max your sub requirement due to the following:

  • If a team must reschedule their match and provides at least 48 hours notice, the opposing team must accept the rescheduling.
  • A make-up date should be discussed at the time of rescheduling.
  • Make-ups must be made up within two weeks of the scheduled match.
  • If one team has made a reasonable attempt at reschulding to no avail then they can request that the Board discuss options regarding forfeit.
  • All forfeits will include league fees & quarters.

The board is always right! The only scoring malfunction that can be corrected is if it is the winning dart AND it sticks.

  • Ex. Player A has 43 remaining in a game of 501. The first darts hits and sticks in the 15 leaving 28. The second dart thrown hits just outside of the double 14 and scores zero. The third dart thrown hits and sticks in the double 14 but counts as zero. Since the double 14 is the winning dart AND it stuck in the board, player A has won the game for his team. The board will be backed up and the double 14 scored.

The dart boards cost $3000+ per board and are not made to sustain repeated damage. Physical abuse of the dart boards:

Any hitting, kicking or actions that can be considered abuse of the dart boards will be handled as follows:

  • 1st offense - Verbal warning
  • 2nd offense - Suspended from participating in Camden leagues/tournaments for a period of one (1) month.
  • 3rd offense - Appear before the board to determine suitable punishment.

Any disruption of the game as a direct result of physical abuse (blown circuit, light bulb, reboot, etc.) player/team automatically loses that game.

The next board meeting is Friday, May 15th

Sunday, February 1, 2009

Birthday Tournaments

Camden is no longer holding birthday tournaments on the first Saturday of the month. Instead, we're reverting back to the way it was with a couple of minor changes.

If you would like to have a birthday tournament held in your honor you will be required to do three things:

1) Contact me to ensure that the date & time is available (must be a Saturday. Fridays may be an option but I would need to know at least two months in advanced and still can't make any promises)
2) Ask for permission from the bar where you wish to have it
3) Ask the bar to notify Camden to make the arrangements** this step requires you to determine the games you wish to play, the format (mixed, bring your own, etc), added money (Camden will match the bar in most cases), drink specials, door prizes & any additional requests.

Once Camden has been notified & everything is in order I will add the tournament to the website & create the flyer. If, for some reason, you don't see your tournament in a timely manner then assume that something was incomplete and that we are waiting on clarification to continue.

If you have any questions regarding this process please email me at
Camden@crdarts.com.
